SUPPLY LIST
We will be taking with us 28 “Rubbermaid” tubs, filled with supplies for Tumaini and Huruma children’s homes. Needed items may include:
— Clothing: For ages 7 through adult (many teenagers). Shirts, pants, sweatshirts, tshirts, long skirts, athletic socks, underwear (new).
— Linens: twin sheets, pillowcases, lightweight blankets, towels. Team members will each be contributing a set of twin sheets and a lightweight blanket (ideally fleece) to use while there and leave behind.
— Medicines (OTC) and first aid: Pain reliever, band-aids, cold medicines, first aid cream, etc.
— Dental: Toothbrushes, toothpaste.
— Communion service for two new congregations. Chalice, trays, plastic cups. Also, portable communion sets are needed.
—School supplies: pencils**, manual sharpeners, pens, chalk.
— small trinkets to give to children
— Soccer balls (deflated) and other recreation supplies
— Gifts for the staff at Huruma and Tumaini
— Gifts for our hosts
— Used guitar
— Used and/or new laptop
Several tubs will be filled with supplies needed for the team and for projects:
— VBS items: curriculum and craft supplies
— grocery items: instant oatmeal, instant coffee, powerbars, granola/cereal bars, instant soup, etc.
